Pharr, Texas – The City of Pharr announce the official Start of the 2024-2025 Produce Season at the Pharr International Bridge. Pharr International Bridge celebrates 30 years of “Connecting Two Nations” and facilitating the movement of fresh produce across borders.
As the third-ranked port in Texas for trade with Mexico and the seventh-largest and fastest-growing land port of entry nationwide, the Pharr International Bridge is at the heart of North American trade and agriculture. Handling over 65% of the nation’s fresh produce imports from Mexico and driving more than $47 billion in annual trade, the Pharr Bridge plays a crucial role in boosting the economy at the local, state, and national levels.
The Pharr International Bridge is a vital driver of Pharr’s economy, moving fresh produce from farm to table and supporting trade that fuels regional growth. The start of the produce season marks one of the busiest and most impactful times of the year, highlighting the bridge’s key role in connecting nations and sustaining the flow of fresh goods that benefit millions.
We hope you join the City of Pharr and the Pharr International Bridge for this time-honored tradition as we kick off the 2024-2025 Start of the Produce Season and celebrate 30 years of connecting nations and driving trade.
