McAllen Delegation Forges Stronger Ties with Queretaro, Mexico through Trade Mission

City of McAllen enhancing partnership with State of Queretaro to promote international development, attract foreign investment, improve trade, strengthen economic interconnectedness

Queretaro, Queretaro, MX – A delegation from the City of McAllen, led by City Manager Isaac J. Tawil, recently traveled to the State of Queretaro to strengthen economic ties and explore new opportunities for growth in key sectors. The McAllen delegation met with Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, the Secretary of Economic Development for the State of Queretaro, to solidify collaborative efforts in key areas such as foreign investment, trade, connectivity, and international business development, all aimed at achieving efficient economic integration.

“McAllen and Queretaro share strong economies, a high quality of life, and advantageous geographic locations for trade. Both cities serve as vital transportation hubs for the industrial sector and play significant roles in the North American supply chain. This strategic partnership is a natural fit, and we are thrilled to be in the state of Queretaro promoting economic interconnectedness,” stated City Manager Tawil.

During the mission, the McAllen delegation met with government officials, airport authorities and business and industry leaders, gaining valuable insights into the Queretaro market and its potential. The mission is expected to generate significant interest from businesses in both regions, paving the way for enhanced trade and investment opportunities in the coming years.

The City of McAllen is dedicated to fostering international relations to support economic growth, attract foreign investment, promote binational trade through the Anzalduas Port of Entry, and improve air cargo connectivity through McAllen International Airport. This trade mission strengthens economic ties between McAllen and Queretaro, contributing to mutual prosperity and international development.
