Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica & Mobile Education Center to be Displayed at Uni-Trade Stadium
LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo is honored to host The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., along with a mobile Education Center. This powerful exhibit offers visitors an opportunity to reflect, pay tribute, and learn about the sacrifices made by those who served in the Vietnam War. The exhibit will be open to the public 24 hours a day and is free of charge.
The Wall That Heals is a traveling exhibit presented by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF), the nonprofit organization that founded the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The exhibit includes a replica of the memorial and a mobile Education Center, which shares the history and personal stories of those honored on The Wall.
The Wall That Heals exhibit also includes an In Memory Honor Roll display. It shows the photos of local Vietnam veterans honored through VVMF’s In Memory program, which honors veterans who returned home and later died. If local residents know of a Vietnam veteran who returned home and later died, they can apply to honor them for their service through VVMF’s In Memory program. This 3-day/24-hour display allows individuals of all ages to visit and experience the powerful impact of the memorial.
